A moment of peace

Yesterday has been quite a hectic day. From IMs bombarding me, so me wanting to go to the jewelry fair, over meetings in SL and friends needing an ear to talk to. I even forgot to eat dinner until it was really late. So after all this was done, I finally got a moment to visit the land around the “Zipper Mainstore“, my best friend Cale gave me the landmark of.

It was already in the middle of the night and I was really stressed out, but as soon as I teleported in I was in awe with the sky that revealed itself to me (It seems to be a sphere or another object with a texture on it because my Windlight settings did not influence it). I stood there, in the middle of this dark green grass and took a deep breath. This moment of peace was just wonderful and what i needed.

I did not even change for the picture because I really liked what I was wearing in contrast to the surroundings.

The Skirt is the new release from Zaara and as soon as I saw them on pictures I knew I need them. Honestly they have written my name (RL and SL) all over them and so it was no wonder that I fatpacked the whole lot.

The shirt and the Hair from Truth are part of the 10-10-10 event in Second life. A couple of designers came together and have a special item for you for only 10 L and another for 110L. More Information about that you can find here.

The jewelry comes from the Jewelry fair and was either for Free or a Dollarbie. I was amazed at all the fantastic and talented designers of Jewelry out there I never heard about and to see with what the ones came up with I knew already. I will definitely will have to go back to look at the auction pieces again when it comes closer to an end.

I’ve got Brains

That’s the first i thought when I saw those “floating over your head” brain bubbles. They have a hover text, that you cannot see on this picture, sorry but there are three different ones saying “I just had a brain wave”, “Brain Power” and “Got something on your mind?”. Just for the record i am wearing the last one.

So, I’ve got brains. Too bad that this won’t help me a bit to undersand that mathematical gibberish behind me BUT I have other talents, yep so I can live with the lack of mathematical comprehension, even as a geek.

So what does this brain have to do with anything anyway. That’s easy, see I’ve got brains. Because those Brains, and the “I <3 Brains" badge I am wearing are only a little part of what you can get at the 'Wear Gray' Charity event. Go with the wind and follow your heart

Last night I was hopping around in SL using the last day of the Zombie Popcorn hunt and grabbing some items from Project Themeory and other things. And as soon as i saw this hair from Dernier Cri i knew what i wanted to do.

I love to follow my heart and to see where it carries me, others call it to go with the wind. My friends know that I am not very logical and that they have to play my mind in taking decisions reminding me of the rational sides of things, because I only listen to my feelings. Not that I always do what they tell me, but at least I am listening to the rational points

So building on this side of me I had to do this picture with the new stuffs I’ve got. The Location is “Forest feast” a beautiful garden with so many different flowers that I could hardly decide where i wanted to make my picture.

Dark Nights

I could type a lot on how it came to this picture but i won’t. I doubt that you are coming to blogs like this and want to read about long sad stories so I’ll spare you.

But when I did it, it was fitting to be dark and sad, which is why the No Salvation Sim was perfect for it. And it gave me the opportunity to wear things I got and did not use until now, this is why I put it into a blog instead of keeping it for myself Lucky you.

Memoirs of a Geisha

“Remember, geisha are not courtesans. And we are not wives. We sell our skills, not our bodies. We create another secret world, a place only of beauty. The very word “geisha” means artist and to be a geisha is to be judged as a moving work of art.”

This quote of the movie “Memoirs of a Geisha” went through my head while I was looking at the background images of this lovely Japanese place I shot in Guild Wars.

Since I am listening to what my inspiration tells me, I just had to make a picture with it and happily found all I needed to compose the picture I wanted and that I will share with you today.
