Thecla, the Assassin

I have never been much of a Boot type, but recently I find more and more often, that I love them. So when I saw those boots from Lassitude & Ennui I knew I need them. Jackal Ennui makes all the sculpts and textures herself and there is so much detail in them, so lovely and I for myself can feel that she loves to do what she does.

The first boots to show off, are called “Thecla” and they come in 6 colors. Since I fell in love with the deep vibrant red I’m showing you those The other colors are sea, black, brown, gray and purple.

Also new in this is Ayla’s new Dani pants with a very high waste, and gosh I love this. Never had anything like this before and I have no idea why. Once again Ayla topped her own performance with this completely hand drawn piece of clothing.

Also they are participating in the “Happy Holidays from ..” hunt, which runs from Dec 10th to 31st, and is organized by CHIC Management. And those Assassin boots are the prize in grey. They are just awesome and not only for villains. After the hunt is over they will be available in more colors, so don’t forget to check back on New Year.

Fairies wear boots

I have no idea why this song got stuck in my head all day long. But instead of wondering and guessing I decided to put it into good use, aka a blog post.

To find the fitting outfit was not hard, I kept on my Gos Docs and grabbed my Evie’s outfit before jumping to the first place I thought of when thinking of fairies in autumn: Garden of Dreams.

She made me a vest fan O.O

Today a dear friend of mine, Dezi Jarvinen from Staged, has her birthday. And for that she’s going to have a new release and I am so happy that I was able to see them before *bounces* First of all of course, Happy Birthday Dezi may the sun shine on your ways to go, especially long one you’ll have to go soon. *hugs*

So the new release is or rather are a bunch of very cool vests. I did not wear them often, in RL I had two vests i wore a couple of time, and one leather vest in my rockabilly time but apart from that one, I don’t think I have any left. But those ones here, I really love them.

Look at all those details and different patterns. The shading is just perfect and I don’t really want to get out of them again. And in SL different to RL I love to wear them without a shirt. Don’t ask me why but I love the look

Dezi is releasing them today and for her Birthday she will have a pack of two extra vests for only 15L$, so you can all celebrate with her. Though I could really fatpack those. lol

Those were the days – how time flies

Last night I sat there on my Building Platform in SL and thought about how the time ran and how long I am doing stuff already. In December I will be in SL for 4 years, I am doing Render Art for 10 years and I know my bestest friend Cale for 13 or 14 years, maybe even longer forgot to count. And I am with my RL boyfriend for over 8 years already…

I still remember my first evening in SL, visiting the White Dove, getting all the freebies, thinking how great the ‘realistic’ skin looks and getting a free hair with a voucher, back in times when free stuff was something rare and precious and we camped for nights and days to get together 10 Lindens. I wore the skin for 3 months until Cale dragged me skin shopping and i got a real realistic skin and noticed how pink my other one was, i kept the hair for 3 years and never changed it a bit until I found my love of SL hair and to change it every now and then.

So much happened in those almost 4 years and it’s so interesting to see what we have been doing, whom we met, what we saw and experienced and who we became. Seeing where I am now, when I started i would have said you’re crazy if you’ve told me where I’ll be.

And I’ve met so many wonderful people and I know that without them my life would be terribly empty. Just saying that, even if something I think “those were the days I wished to be back again”.. i would not want to be there without all of you. Thanks for making life interesting and being there, no matter if it is the bitch next door driving me nuts or my friends who make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

All that Jazz

Do you know how it is when you see an accessory or hair and you know exactly what kind of outfit you want to wear it with for the very first time? I had that today with shoes. I dared to leave my land with the knowledge of what I was doing to do would drop me in a pile of people: I visited The Dressing Room.

I did not get only some skin and hair but as soon as I saw the shoes from SLink I had to get them and knew what i wanted to do for my picture. The outfit and hair was found fast, same for the accessories and thanks to the Koinup Website I found exactly what i wanted: a Jazz club, more precisely “The Empire Jazz Club“.

I wanted to make the picture on a different spot, but when I started to play with the microphone on the stage I changed my mind rather quickly. It was so much fun, especially without an audience – I would die if anyone would see me on a stage *laughs*

Gatcha Bubblegum Skater

So, yesterday I was – like half of the grid I assume – at the Gatcha Festival. I thought I’d stay a couple of minutes, take a short peek and then hide again on my land. Well.. thought is the magic word.

Actually when I teleported in and saw that my good friend SySy was just tping in as well, i knew that the idea was doomed, and I was right. I think we have been close to two hours and spent tons of money for stuff we found cute and wanted and was silly enough to get and had TONS of fun.

I can honestly say that I never had so much fun while being surrounded by so many people. I got so much stuff I will show you, but not all at once, a little bit of what I got you will see in today’s post

I cannot explain why, but i had the urge to go pink – I never do that, I do not like pink personally but I wanted this time – must be a phase. So I grabbed my skateboard i got from one of the Gatcha Machines and turned into a Pink Bubblegum Skater

First I had some problems to stay on the board and almost fell…

But not long after I was surprised that i could do tricks – wohooo!

And just because this is another great make-up I’ll show you a closeup of this lovely face, glad i did not get hurt while skating or it might show some bruises now.

Dreaming in Color

Today was one of those days when i needed distraction. Usually i am not really girl like when it comes to that. The girl friends i know go for a shopping tour or eat ice cream – i usually watch some movies, preferably those without brain requirements. But today was different, i actually left my hermit land and went out to shop.

Well i wanted to get some shoes i have seen on the feet of a friend but the shop’s mainstore was not accessible (the whole continent was down, way to go) so i went into a satellite store. Well of course they did not have the shoes i wanted so i looked around in the next section and oh my heart started to sing it was the Discount Second of another store.

After having a short chat with the owner – and her thankfully correcting a pricing error so i could get lovely new ballerinas I’ll show off in another post – i looked around a bit more and fell in love with a beautiful dark emerald dress on a wall just 20 meters in front of me.

It did not take another second before i bought it not even caring about the price *lol* but it was alright, not too much and so pretty. As soon as i went home i slipped into it and i knew i had to show it to you and i knew exactly how i wanted to have it.

Isn’t this dress a dream?

And i am super happy i remembered this Skin i got from Dezi Jarvinen (the owner of Staged) because it fits quite nice into the view. And because it’s so beautiful here a closer look of the face with this special and very creative make up.
