Meshy Redness

So now that I can finally use Mesh and Shadows I wanted to use it both in my pictures. And although fixing the shadow glitches take a lot of work and time, I really like them

I doubt I’ll have to tell you anything about Mesh, since the feeds are full of them. These Boots are from SLink and each color comes in 4 sizes to make sure that you can wear them without changing your shape too much. Same goes for Jane’s shorts I am wearing. I love how Mesh moves with the body without looking stiff. Though I hope that LL will add some chance to edit Mesh rather than forcing designers to include several sizes. That would be great for those people with unusual shapes to keep their individuality.

The glasses I am wearing are mesh too and they look really great. I do not know for how long but right now you can get several packs of Mesh glasses (tortoise shell pattern and black, with big and those small glasses) for only 1L each at bastard. I had to get them because I really really LOVE glasses on me

Rhapsody in Blue

A week ago was my birthday and my best friend Cale gifted me a beautiful outfit from one of my favourite shops in all of Second Life: BareRose. It is called “Prinzessin der Nacht”, for those who don’t speak German it means “Princess of the night”.

As soon as I saw it I knew I’d have to blog it and I knew the perfect place for it. And once I’ve seen Miamai’s Hair at the Hair Fair, I also had the perfect hairstyle.

The only thing I did in Photoshop was to enhance the colors just a tad and adding the frame. The rest is straight out of Second Life. I just love “No Salvation”, so many locations for awesome pictures. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Lyndsey enjoys her Somnia

As many of you might already know tomorrow is the big day when the “Skin & Shape Expo 2011″ will open. For this Expo Adam’n'Eve releases a sweet and pretty new Skin I’ll be showing you today.

Her name is Lyndsey and she’s a beaut. But not only that but she will come with tons of options on Tattoo layers you can combine yourself to the mix you like most over the basic skin (which comes with boob cleavage and without). It’s time again for the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge, this week Luna Jubilee has chosen the color “Goldenrod”.

At first I was one of those mourning about that since I can’t remember that i had anything in that specific color. I’m actually surprised how much of a challenge those challenges can really be, I would assume that I could find anything fitting in my already existing huge inventory.

But then, I heard about the Magic of Oz Anniversary Hunt and one of the prizes has been just perfect for it.

Who gives a hoot?

I can honestly say that I do. But this was the title i had in mind the very first moment I saw what Liliana Barrs came up with. Those awesome cute owl brooches and those cute little birdy earrings are the first thing she put for sale in Second Life and I had to get them, because I noticed i don’t have enough bird-things in my inventory and those are just adorable *grins*

And look at these Jeans. Oh my god those are awesome. I had the pleasure to see with my own eyes how Ayla Verity made those. Yes, really, those are hand-drawn. Every stitch, every wrinkle, everything. She worked on those for days and when i thought after one that they are already perfect i almost fell out of my chair when i saw the end result that she improved themeven more. They look so realistic!

The skin is Isolde from Exodi and the yellow/orange-ish make up was perfect for this shirt, which is the October and Anniversary Gift from Has Been. And see those cute little ringed toes? This is the updated version of the SLink bare feet, i love the new toe ring option

All that Jazz

Do you know how it is when you see an accessory or hair and you know exactly what kind of outfit you want to wear it with for the very first time? I had that today with shoes. I dared to leave my land with the knowledge of what I was doing to do would drop me in a pile of people: I visited The Dressing Room.

I did not get only some skin and hair but as soon as I saw the shoes from SLink I had to get them and knew what i wanted to do for my picture. The outfit and hair was found fast, same for the accessories and thanks to the Koinup Website I found exactly what i wanted: a Jazz club, more precisely “The Empire Jazz Club“.

I wanted to make the picture on a different spot, but when I started to play with the microphone on the stage I changed my mind rather quickly. It was so much fun, especially without an audience – I would die if anyone would see me on a stage *laughs*

The feeling of silk on the skin

So, since I mentioned my friend Cale in 2 of the last 3 blog posts I thought it is time to do what I wanted to do for quite a while. A post about his creations.

Quite some friends know that until almost a year ago I have been around in Gor for something between 1-1/2 and 2 years. It was a great experience, I learned a lot about myself and thankfully I have been in the right sims without anything being forced upon me. I enjoyed that time a lot until it was time for me to leave. I’m telling you that because my friend Cale Alcott was one of the first people who made silks for girls I really loved. There are many silk creators out there and I adore so many of their creations but my all time favourite have always been the green “Celtic Silks” from House of Alcott and not only because he’s my closest and longest friend also because the design.

They are fully primmed and have thankfully optional panties – I never go pantie-less – and in my absolute favourite dark evergreen. The golden prim ornaments have so much detail and all the tassels and flowing fabrics made me want to move all the time just to watch them twirling around me (Though i have been paler and with red hair, but you get the drift *G*)

Even now that I am not in Gor anymore I still love them and dancing around in them while doing the pictures made me smile. And what better location for that than a tavern. Not for audience, those days are past, but since Cale also builds beautiful Houses and Residences in lots of styles I had to take the picture in one of his Taverns. I love the details, shapes and texture-works he does on his creations and am in awe each time I see something new he created.

He was – just by the way – also always someone who encouraged me to work with prims, to test and try around and to tell me how to try things, bringing in new ideas when I got stuck with this fantastic creative mind of his. I can only say thank you, not only for that but also for being my friend for so many many years, i think it’s almost half a lifetime for me that i know him and he still didn’t run away *laughs*

OMG Exodi goes so well with MINA

I do not know how you wear skins, if you use only one and are happy over years or if you change them often. I know that from the beginning of my life in SL I was wearing only one skin and i loved it. Then after almost 3 years I thought it could be nice to look around, and I did not have any luck for a long time. Something always did not feel right.

Then not that long after I joined the group of Exodi, Ryker Beck sent a group gift and I peeked through them, thinking that something will not be right again. But i got surprised and I fell in love with the new skin. It had the perfect skin color, make up everything and honestly I loved the cleavage *laughs* So it came that after 3 years in a skin I adored i changed for an Exodi skin.

Now you can maybe imagine how close I was to faint when I got this preview pack today from items that will be released, sold, given away in two days for their amazing and exciting :: Exodi :: & :.WoE.: Isolde Skin & Sim Launch Party.
