Legions at her hand

Yesterday my good friend Cale told me about a Micro Hunt at Barerose and as a longtime fan of almost everything they have been doing before T had to get on that hunt. It was a pretty small hunt – as said Micro – and it was fairly easy but fun

The Prize is The “Armor of Ordeal” for guys and girls, neatly placed in 4 parts in a little scavenger hunt. When you arrive at Barerose you have to touch the “The Mother Dragon” Hunt sign and get a folder with a landmark to start and an instructions notecard. The hunt goes along with a story that will give you some background and atmosphere while you are on your hunt and also a task you have to fulfill to get to the parts of the gifts. When you are done with the 4 parts you can also get a special extra that you will have to find on the sim, but you will get a clue and i found it easy to spot.

The extra contains the top, cloak and belt in the extra color pink for girls and blue for guys. One of the other 4 parts will give you this little sweet ride.

The Dragon is to wear, so it does not need any prims on the land or rez rights. It trigers the riding position and a soft up and down motion as soon as you wear it. It’s way too much fun to get off it again, so I’m riding it since I got it

Rhapsody in Blue

A week ago was my birthday and my best friend Cale gifted me a beautiful outfit from one of my favourite shops in all of Second Life: BareRose. It is called “Prinzessin der Nacht”, for those who don’t speak German it means “Princess of the night”.

As soon as I saw it I knew I’d have to blog it and I knew the perfect place for it. And once I’ve seen Miamai’s Hair at the Hair Fair, I also had the perfect hairstyle.

The only thing I did in Photoshop was to enhance the colors just a tad and adding the frame. The rest is straight out of Second Life. I just love “No Salvation”, so many locations for awesome pictures. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Subculture Challenge – Cyberpunk

When I heard about the Subculture Challenge I thought this will be fun. I was right. Sileny Noel asked those who are interested to give her two random numbers in a fixed range and those two subcultures would be the ones we can choose from. Mine where Bikers and Cyberpunk.

I have been a Bikerchick in my youth and I am a Cyberpunk Pen and Paper Roleplayer and (among other things) Sci-Fi-Geek in RL. So both of those were interesting for me. I actually threw a coin and the result was Cyberpunk.

There are many different ways to experience that, all of them pretty awesome. I have my own. Sadly lots of things my character has and is, is not available in SL, so I made a new character for that instead of showing you my RP girl

As location I chose the “Doomed Ship” Roleplaying Sim which is pretty perfect for this. Too bad you cannot bring sounds of SL into a blog post, it was pretty awesome to dive into this dark trash sci-fi environment.

Back to school

A couple of days maybe even weeks ago I’ve got this outfit when I saw a blogpost that used the jacket of it and wore it for ages. Now today I finally tried out the rest of it *lol* and I liked it. The boots in the outfit are not shown here, since i liked the shoes I had in mind for it better.

Thanks to some help I also found this great bag because as soon as I saw myself in these clothes I felt back in school. For me that is not that long ago, since I have visited a second chance School for Adults to improve my degree and I never walked around like that but I would have if I’d have had Barerose in Reallife and the figur for it *laughs*

Somewhere out there

Today after I logged in I did not really know what to do. Though i remembered that I’ve got the new release from Pocket Gardens and unpacked it to see how i can make it fit on my land. And it is just great. So i sat down and had this lovely view over the water and this old song from “An American Tail” popped back into my head as it sometimes does.

I really like those little patches of green, little scenes of nature. This one comes in two versions in the pack but i really really love the one with the raven on the treestump so I chose this for my picture. Stormy Aluveaux, the creator and owner of Pocket Garden, also included copyable grass patches that i threw out and around the stump. Doesn’t it just look beautiful?

Night Owl (aka Oldies but Goodies Blog Challenge)

Since I was a little girl I was a night owl. I always was more active at night and had big trouble to get out in the morning and during the day I was not really productive. But as soon as it got dark outside it was as if I came to life. No wonder I am doing this blogpost at 1:30 in the night, right? *laughs*

When Alysha Rennahan had the idea of weekly blogger challenges I liked the idea and thought that I might take a couple of them with me on the way. This week the theme is “Oldies but Goodies” and we have to use items that are one year old or older. After I recently cleaned out my inventory that was not as easy as I thought, BUT I found something that is the reason I told you about my not so secret life as night-owl.

Most of the shops from where I got the items are still in business, they might even still have those items, but I can tell you that I got them ages ago *grins* The hair I got in a hunt of the hair shop “Curl up and Dye” when it still was called “Inari”. The outfit is from Barerose. The skin is the skin I have been wearing 3 years without changing it once – apart from costumes for parties that brought their own shapes – and comes from the closed down shop by Max and the eyes are those I made shortly after I started SL. As soon as I had 10 Lindens I used them to get those eyes uploaded and they are still my eyes because i love them so very much – Same with the shape btw. It is the same I made myself years ago, only slight numbers changed over the time until it looked like now.

Memoirs of a Geisha

This quote of the movie “Memoirs of a Geisha” went through my head while I was looking at the background images of this lovely Japanese place I shot in Guild Wars.

Since I am listening to what my inspiration tells me, I just had to make a picture with it and happily found all I needed to compose the picture I wanted and that I will share with you today.

Gatcha Bubblegum Skater

So, yesterday I was – like half of the grid I assume – at the Gatcha Festival. I thought I’d stay a couple of minutes, take a short peek and then hide again on my land. Well.. thought is the magic word.

Actually when I teleported in and saw that my good friend SySy was just tping in as well, i knew that the idea was doomed, and I was right. I think we have been close to two hours and spent tons of money for stuff we found cute and wanted and was silly enough to get and had TONS of fun.

I can honestly say that I never had so much fun while being surrounded by so many people. I got so much stuff I will show you, but not all at once, a little bit of what I got you will see in today’s post

I cannot explain why, but i had the urge to go pink – I never do that, I do not like pink personally but I wanted this time – must be a phase. So I grabbed my skateboard i got from one of the Gatcha Machines and turned into a Pink Bubblegum Skater

First I had some problems to stay on the board and almost fell…

But not long after I was surprised that i could do tricks – wohooo!

And just because this is another great make-up I’ll show you a closeup of this lovely face, glad i did not get hurt while skating or it might show some bruises now.
