I know i have not been blogging for ages, almost 2 months but so much happened .. but i don’t want to bore you with that

Aliens love spring too

I can’t tell you much today, since my head kills me, but I missed blogging for a while and i wanted to show you those goodies

Ayla’s has a new release. Those awesome springy dresses called “Misty”. I could swear I feel the thin soft fabric on my skin, when I wear it.

The skin is new from Imabee, called “Extraaaaaaterrestriallllllllll” (which gave the blogpost the name btw.) and it is only available until April 11th. It looks really awesome and those markings on the forehead are part of the skin.

Thecla, the Assassin

I have never been much of a Boot type, but recently I find more and more often, that I love them. So when I saw those boots from Lassitude & Ennui I knew I need them. Jackal Ennui makes all the sculpts and textures herself and there is so much detail in them, so lovely and I for myself can feel that she loves to do what she does.

The first boots to show off, are called “Thecla” and they come in 6 colors. Since I fell in love with the deep vibrant red I’m showing you those The other colors are sea, black, brown, gray and purple.

Also new in this is Ayla’s new Dani pants with a very high waste, and gosh I love this. Never had anything like this before and I have no idea why. Once again Ayla topped her own performance with this completely hand drawn piece of clothing.

Also they are participating in the “Happy Holidays from ..” hunt, which runs from Dec 10th to 31st, and is organized by CHIC Management. And those Assassin boots are the prize in grey. They are just awesome and not only for villains. After the hunt is over they will be available in more colors, so don’t forget to check back on New Year.

Autumn Love

So today it is here, the last day of summer. I know that almost everyone of us felt the last weeks like it would be already gone but today it’s official. And tomorrow autum starts. So confession time, if you did not know it already.

I LOVE Autumn well and winter, but until then it is still a bit. I love the chilly weather, the rain, the fog, the changing leaves, everything about autumn. Apart from that my mood can rapidly sink into the cellar a second after I was happy as a fish in the sea. But apart from that this is my season. So in anticipation of the coming weeks I decided to make this a bit more autum-ish.

I really like the Pixel Dreams Sim, my friend Cale has shown me. I featured it already before and i love all those wheat fields giving it an autumn farm feeling with so many different spots to make lovely pictures, with animals, plants, buildings, it is just beautiful. It’s totally worth a look.

She made me a vest fan O.O

Today a dear friend of mine, Dezi Jarvinen from Staged, has her birthday. And for that she’s going to have a new release and I am so happy that I was able to see them before *bounces* First of all of course, Happy Birthday Dezi may the sun shine on your ways to go, especially long one you’ll have to go soon. *hugs*

So the new release is or rather are a bunch of very cool vests. I did not wear them often, in RL I had two vests i wore a couple of time, and one leather vest in my rockabilly time but apart from that one, I don’t think I have any left. But those ones here, I really love them.

Look at all those details and different patterns. The shading is just perfect and I don’t really want to get out of them again. And in SL different to RL I love to wear them without a shirt. Don’t ask me why but I love the look

Dezi is releasing them today and for her Birthday she will have a pack of two extra vests for only 15L$, so you can all celebrate with her. Though I could really fatpack those. lol

Touch-and-go

A bunch of weeks ago, when my dear friend SySy told me that her cousin joined Second Life we did not even imagine that not even 3 months later she will open her own shop. When I then heard that she never touched Photoshop before and heard she made her first shirt I smiled and thought about how my first try of clothing looked liked but Ayla totally amazed me.

Her first shirt was apart from very dark shadows absolutely awesome i could not believe she made it in such a short time, while SySy and me remebered how long we took to even learn how to make shadows and highlights on our stuff *laughs*

So, Ayla had her Birthday last week and SySy gifted her a little space next to her shop so she could sell her awesome creations. You should come along and take a look, I see her already having fangirls around, but no wonder since she is really talented. Oh and look at these, I blushed so hard when she dropped those on me, because they are named after me

Her mix of livid colors and different patterns is really great work, I can honestly say that I can’t wait to see more

Wear gray is colorful

I remember last year when it was the first time of “Wear Gray for a Day” for me i thought the dresscode is to wear gray. But that view changed a lot, during the last year’s event and this year’s.

Wear Gray will open its doors to public September 12th and close it again September 25th. So you’ll have a lot of time to show up and enjoy shopping tours.

If you do not know what ‘Wear Gray’ is, here a short explanation. Wear Gray is an annual Charity event in the spirit of raising awareness and donations for the fight against Brain Cancer. This year all donations will go to benefit The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA). From the Wear Gray Homepage:

“A two week market with creators from across the grid, new and old, banding together to help raise funds for the American Brain Tumor Association. Wear Gray for a Day is the ‘brain child’ of Wear Gray Director Sanura Snowpaw. Sadly, Sanura lost her RL cousin to brain cancer and wanted to find a way to help raise funds to go towards researching to find a cure and to raise awareness of this disease.”

These two weeks will be full of events, parties, there is a hunt and lots of items are being sold that will donate 50 – 100% of proceeds to ABTA. I hope to show off some stuff i got and will still get there to show that ‘Wear Gray’ can be colorful and of course to show off those amazing creators. At the same time i would love to say a big thank you and applaud to Sanura Snowpaw and Arora Zanzibar who worked their asses off to make this happen.

Go with the wind and follow your heart

Last night I was hopping around in SL using the last day of the Zombie Popcorn hunt and grabbing some items from Project Themeory and other things. And as soon as i saw this hair from Dernier Cri i knew what i wanted to do.

I love to follow my heart and to see where it carries me, others call it to go with the wind. My friends know that I am not very logical and that they have to play my mind in taking decisions reminding me of the rational sides of things, because I only listen to my feelings. Not that I always do what they tell me, but at least I am listening to the rational points

Those were the days – how time flies

Last night I sat there on my Building Platform in SL and thought about how the time ran and how long I am doing stuff already. In December I will be in SL for 4 years, I am doing Render Art for 10 years and I know my bestest friend Cale for 13 or 14 years, maybe even longer forgot to count. And I am with my RL boyfriend for over 8 years already…

I still remember my first evening in SL, visiting the White Dove, getting all the freebies, thinking how great the ‘realistic’ skin looks and getting a free hair with a voucher, back in times when free stuff was something rare and precious and we camped for nights and days to get together 10 Lindens. I wore the skin for 3 months until Cale dragged me skin shopping and i got a real realistic skin and noticed how pink my other one was, i kept the hair for 3 years and never changed it a bit until I found my love of SL hair and to change it every now and then.

So much happened in those almost 4 years and it’s so interesting to see what we have been doing, whom we met, what we saw and experienced and who we became. Seeing where I am now, when I started i would have said you’re crazy if you’ve told me where I’ll be.

And I’ve met so many wonderful people and I know that without them my life would be terribly empty. Just saying that, even if something I think “those were the days I wished to be back again”.. i would not want to be there without all of you. Thanks for making life interesting and being there, no matter if it is the bitch next door driving me nuts or my friends who make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside
